We’ve been waiting a VERY long time for Wyatt’s arrival.

When he was born, his mother described him as 8lbs of delectable cuteness. I couldn’t agree more. Welcome baby Wyatt!! You are so ridiculously loved

It drains my iphone battery. Honestly, though, I can’t live without it.
As of late we’ve been doing a TON of traveling…both personal and for work. I’m tired. BUT, we’ve had a blast! I vowed that when I was on vacation I wouldn’t touch the camera. In fact, I left my beloved Marky at home and put Mike in charge of our trusty point and shoot camera. I carried nothing but my iphone. However, on my iphone I have the Hipstamatic camera app and SWOON every time I see a picture come from it. I’m obsessed. So, I’ve decided to host a new feature on ye ‘ol blog…Life as a Hipsta.
So, to let you see a glimpse…my glimpse…of where we’ve been for the past three weeks.
First up…our vacation to the House of Mouse. The kids and Mike had never been and we had such a phenom time that the kids still haven’t stopped talking about it!

A few days later we went to Niagara Falls where we were completely soaked as we left the Cave of Winds and the Maid of the Mist. The kids were amazed and LOVED it. Oh…and there’s one picture below that’s for my brother-in-law.

Our last whirlwind adventure took us to Rehoboth Beach for an AH.MAY.ZING! beach wedding. But, in our spare time, we ate, hung on the boardwalk, ate salt water taffy, ate some more and just chillaxed.

Fun Times. For Sure!

Because I can’t stop staring at the awesomeness that was this past weekend’s wedding…I thought I’d share.

It’s mine, his and ours. Real simple, yet complicated at the same time.
We’re the strict ones. The disciplinarians. The ones that make you do homework and take showers. The ones that take you on fun vacations and exotic destinations. Together, we call our little cottage home. As of late, a complete, bursting at the seams home. And we couldn’t be happier. All of us.
So, with all of us at home, we grabbed the opportunity and took a field trip for some much needed family pictures.
This is us (and Sophie, too).

And them.

Elia.
Travis.

Sydney.

Nicholas.

At their request for an infamous jumpin’ shot.

The way we feel. Because honestly, there are only 2 of us and 4 of them. So outnumbered.

This will greet you the second you walk in through the doors of our home.

So, that’s it. Us. Complex yet simple. Crazy in love with each other…even though we’re always at each other’s throat. This zany family of mine…le sigh…just makes my heart melt.
Rumor has it that when they booked me for their wedding, Stephanie immediately called her sister and excitedly reported that they had booked me. Little do they know (until now) that as soon as I came home from our meeting and walked through the kitchen door, I started chatting excitedly to Mike about how cute and fun Stephanie and Phil were and how excited I was to be shooting their upcoming wedding.
On the day of their engagement session it stormed…like hurricane storm…like knock out power for three days in some areas storm. But for a brief hour, the sun came out and all was calm and beautiful. It was during that calm that we shot their engagement session on the grounds of the ever gorgeous Longwood Gardens. Meet Stephanie and Phil…two of the cutest newly engaged couples I know. Oh, and to see more of our afternoon together, here’s their SLIDESHOW.
Growing up there was always a pot of something cooking on the stove. Afterall, you never knew when an unexpected Cuban was going to drive an hour north just to say hi and visit us at home. So, my mother always had something on the stove…just in case.
I’ve continued the tradition. Only, except for Cubans we get teenagers. Hungry ones. Ones that enjoy cupcakes of the homemade variety. Ones that post on Facebook that they love coming over to Momma March and Mr. Mike’s house because Momma March’s cooking is “off the chain!”
Today, however, we didn’t get a teenager. We were graced with a visit by Foxy Roxy. Though she did have her respective teenager in tow. Knowing that Roxy just started up her very own Facebook page, I thought she’d appreciate some new profile pictures. Roxy also needs friends…so definitely befriend her. I’m sure she’d wag her tail in appreciation.
Oh…and simmering on the stove right now is some homemade pasta sauce. So, if anyone wants some homemade bowtie lasagna, stop on by. Dinner’s at 6.

After 10 days of being away…she’s back. AND! She brought someone home with her!
