Philadelphia Engagement: Magda and Jesse

I love Jesse and Madga.  Individually and together.

They are a soulfull pair that is just chill about life.

About a week before their wedding, we finally got around to doing their engagement session.  And we did it in their city. Which I absolutely LOVE and MISS hanging in every single day. Although I’m not so sure I miss the 3″ stillettos that accompanied my brisk 5 minute walks to and from Suburban Station. Their SLIDESHOW is killer.  I love every single shot of these two. Naturals in front of the camera…though I’m sure Madga’s shaking her head saying, “whatever, Is.”

When Jesse mention that he had a friend with a rooftop view of the city, immediately I said, “call her!”  Thanks, Val!

Lookie!

Then back to Rittenhouse Square…

…and Broad Street for a view of City Hall

…and some lovin’ at the Kimmel Center

And because Philadelphia looks fabulous on a clear night… :)

Magda on her wedding day. Doesn’t she just take your breath away in this picture?

And the newly minted, Mr. and Mrs. :)

The girl with lots and lots of hair

She bounces around the house as if she wearing moon shoes, all the while leaving a trail like the tasmanian devil. She lights up a room with her smile. Has a witty sense of humor. Is amazed that her mother knows as much, if not more, slang than she does. She’s a magnet of coolness to all around her.  Her eyes light up at the sight of something new.  She’s not afraid of adventure and is whole heartedly carefree.  She wears her heart on her sleeve and will tell you where to fly in an instant.  She’s rebellious.  She marches to the beat of her own drum and toots her own horn. She could live off of sour watermelon candies and cookies and cream milk shakes. She loves Taylor Swift and the Cupid Shuffle. She needs her cell phone, ipod and camera. She’s 14 going on 24.

She is emmensly adored and admired.

She is, as we call her in this house, the girl with lots and lots of hair.

She’s brighten up our house.  She’s taught us to live a little louder and dance a little harder.

I took her out the other day.  She wanted pictures of fall and her FUGGS.  Watch and love her in her very own SLIDESHOW.

Malvern, Pennsylvania Engagement: Clare and Steve

It’s no lie. I adore the Trotter family. Every single last one of them (and there are a lot of them). They are fun and fantastic and amazing all rolled into one big ball of squishy love.  So, when I met Clare at Emily’s wedding (she’s Em’s godmother), I was immediately smitten by her smile, her witty banter and her love for everyone around her…especially Steve. He’s shy and reserved, but his love for Clare is completely obvious and when in her presence, all that shyness disappears.

They are to be married New Year’s Day and I cannot feel more honored to be a part of their wedding day. We photographed their engagement session at Locust Ridge Farm…Clare’s sister’s horse farm.  To say that my jaw hit the floor of my car when I drove up the driveway is an understatement…in fact, I let out a little happy scream. Ridiculously gorgeous! So, let’s look at pictures, k? k!

Clare’s to-die-for ring :)

Clare workin’ the camera for me :)

Simply…gorgeous

Sneak Peeks Galore!

This weekend’s weather was absolutely insane!  I could have sworn by the cats and dogs that were falling out of the sky for Saturday’s wedding.  Yet, Sunday couldn’t have been more gorgeous!

So…here’s the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Budd

Maggie looked beyond radiant…

Sunday morning I hung out with Jen and Vince at Trexler Park

Sunday afternoon I hung with Dustin and Lynne at Fonthill Museum

Good Morning Sunshine!

Happy Monday!

Philadelphia Engagement Session: Jess and Morten

Hotness you can fork.  That describes Jess and Mort.

They met in Denmark. She was over there studying. He is a local.

He’s quiet…she’s…well…not. :)

Both of them make me crazy happy :)

We hung at Elfreth’s Alley and showed the crowd of onlookers how it’s done.

Yes. Running in the fountain was my crazy idea.  Yes. It was totally planned for.  Yes! We absolutely ADORE the results!

HOTNESS you can fork :)

Check out their SIZZLIN’ session HERE…on their SLIDESHOW. You’ll need a cold shower when you’re done.  Trust me :)

Truly Engaging: Feature! | Cheri and Merv

I love it when couples cry.  Be it the rush of emotion, the sense of, “OH MY GOD! I’M GETTING MARRIED!”, the absolute joy they feel as they relive the entire experience through pictures later on; I love it when their chins start to quiver and they try to hold back tears.  I love that I provide that service :) So yesterday, when Cheri sent me a text letting me know that she was in the bathroom at work fighting back tears, I was happy. I did my girl proud and made her day.

Heidi emailed me a few days ago letting me know that she was in love with Cheri and Merv’s wedding and asked for permission to feature it on her fabulous blog. I squealed, as if someone had handed me the perfect slice of cake, with excitement.  I knew that Cheri was going to fall over and feel overwhelmed with emotion. I love that Cheri and Merv’s wedding was featured.  It was the perfect celebration of two people in love. Their wedding was all about them and depicted them perfectly. So, go…check out Truly Engaging and read more about Cheri and Merv.  And Heidi, THANK YOU! so very much!

Stephanie and John: Engaged! | Lambertville, New Jersey

This morning I wrote an email to Stephanie that read…

There are times during my day, while I’m working on people’s pictures, that I just smile from ear to ear and become overly proud of the work that I’ve created for a couple.  It’s as if I fall in love with the couple and they just make me ooze with excitement and happiness.  I know…I sound totally weird and totally sappy.  You and John make me happy and I am ridiculously happy and excited to be shooting your wedding next week.

I had your slideshow song picked by the time we left your engagement session and have been humming it in my head ever since. This morning when I was finally done and watched your slideshow I had a smile that could have engulfed my entire head.  I am in love with your slideshow.

That about sums it up, internet. Enjoy!

Meet Stephanie and John. I heart them :)

Married in Manhattan: New York City | A ridiculously enormous sneak peek

This morning I woke up with the most surreal feeling…as if yesterday didn’t happen.  And then I walked downstairs and turned on my computer. And smiled a very large, head swallowing smile.

It all started about two weeks ago when one of my ultra-fabulous grooms for next year, Kenny, called me while I was on my way to the grocery store.  He described a new series on TLC that will showcase couples as they marry at different iconic locations throughout New York City. Then he asked if I wanted to be a part of it.  I nearly dropped the phone and simply replied, “uhhh, yeah.” I know…I know…super suave.  After hanging up with Kenny, parking the car at the grocery store and sitting there for a minute, I completely lost it with excitement.  Ever the doubter in all good things, I kept my mouth shut so as to not jinx this crazy exciting event about to take place.  Those of you that know me know that I am the absolute worst at keeping secrets…especially when they are of the fabulously juicy nature.  But I did (well, for the most part :) ).

Yesterday was the day.  The ever fab, Lauri and I traveled to New York City for the taping of the wedding ceremony of Carolina and Ramon, who were married at the Empire State Building, and Beth and Justin, who were married at Times Square. At the start of Carolina and Ramon’s ceremony, one of the members of the camera crew asked me if my hair was how I wanted it and that’s when it hit me.  Holy Crap! I’m going to be on television! And after a split second, I regained my composure, sucked in my belly and got down to business. The show will air sometime in December and of course, I’ll be letting everyone know so that you can watch Lauri and I on television — oh, yeah, and the AMAZING couples that we had the pleasure of working with. :)

I cannot thank Kenny, TLC, Nancy Glass Productions and Ultimate Weddings enough for yesterday’s opportunity. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect my photography venture to take me this far.

Here’s a crazy sneak peek of what was shot yesterday and what’s to come in blog showcasing… Much love!

Carolina and Ramon’s wedding ceremony on the 55th floor of the Empire State Building.

And before rushing off to wedding number 2 of the day, Lauri and I had literally seven minutes to shoot bridal formals for Carolina and Ramon.

The beautiful Carolina who got ready for her big day at the Millennium Hotel Broadway.

Naturally when you think of New York City one of the first images that pops into your head is Times Square. Beth and Justin married there.

The gorgeous Lyceum Theater…which coincidentally has it’s very own scene in one of the Spiderman movies. I forget which one though. I absolutely ADORE this picture…the car zooming by, the random New Yorker, the fact that Beth is involved in theater…just LOVE it :)

Another favorite :)

And the gorgeous Beth…

And here’s one of Lauri and I…totally lookin’ beat but totally happy and proud of ourselves for rockin’ New York City! Thanks, Lauri!
