Cloning

Some say that the resemblance is uncanny…that it’s as if they’ve reversed time and are seeing me 20 years ago.  I shrug my shoulders and say that I see more of her dad than I do myself.  But yet, I agree that there is something about her that is just like me.

Definitely the attitude is mine.  Oh…and the posture, too.

Whatever it is, though, I think she’s absolutely breath-takingly beautiful. :)  And I’m not just saying that because she’s my kid.

Jenna and Anthony: Engaged! | Sneak Peek | Souderton Area High School

High school sweethearts are all the rage…

She had a glow in the dark head and wings as big as the room

When I was 8 I swore up and down that Santa Claus had blue eyes.  Big blue eyes.

Yesterday afternoon it was evident that it was the day.  The day that Nico would lose his first tooth.  And much like his older, wiser sister had told him, it didn’t hurt…just felt a little weird. He carefully placed it in a baggie and wrote her a note. “Take care of my tooth.  Make sure it gets a good wish!”  Because don’t you know that the toothfairy takes the teeth that she collects and grinds them up into fairy dust that in turn gets used when you make a wish?  I had no clue!

This morning I heard Nico squeal like a little piggy when he reached underneath his pillow to find a little baggie filled with money in exchange for the tooth he had left last night.  $6 is the going rate for a first tooth.  Apparently, a dollar for each year that you are when you first lose a tooth.

And when I asked him if he had seen the tooth fairy, he smiled and said, “Of course!  She had a glow in the dark head and wings as big as the room!” How I missed it, sleeping in the next room, is beyond me!

Oh…and come to find out — years later — that Santa has big brown eyes. Right, Aunt Pinky?!

Leslie and Mark: Engaged! | Sneak Peek

Though one session this weekend got rained out :( … Leslie, Mark and I totally rocked it Sunday at Washington Crossing State Park.

Why my mother always said to never have just one kid

Nicholas was very concerned all day after biting into a plum and realizing that his bottom left tooth was extra wiggly.  The time for his first tooth to fall out was drawing near and he was getting nervous.  The only person that could calm his 6 year old nerves and reduce his anxiety was a phone call away.  His sister, Sydney.  She wise at ripe old age of 7, don’t you know?  “She’s been through it, mommy! She knows what’s up!”

He waited ever so patiently until 8pm, when she would be home from cheerleading, to call her. And as Mike and I listened to their ever-so-cute conversation, we wished that we had recorded it.

Nico:  “It feels really weird.”

Sydney:  “It’s going to.  But it’s going to be ok.  It’s not going to hurt that bad.”

Nico: “Is it hard to eat and play and stuff?”

Sydney: “Just have daddy and Belli (that’s me) cut up your food and chew with your side teeth.”

Nico: “ooohhh, that makes sense.”

Sydney: “You’re going to be fine.”

Nico: “But when I eat a donut will it hurt?”

He’s also very excited to see how much the tooth fairy leaves under his pillow.

Sarah and Will: Married! | Great Valley Presbyterian Church and Penn Oaks Golf Club

It’s something in the way they smile at each other.  It’s a genuine joy and contentment to be next to each other savoring their love.  It’s a sweet love.  It surrounds them and emanates to everyone around them…making them smile too. Watching them during their ceremony was the sweetest experience I’ve had in a long time. They smiled from ear to ear and despite all that was going on around them, seemed as if they were in their own little world.  Sarah and Will have a sweet love.

Documenting their day was nothing short of spectacular.  It was the Fourth of July.  It was hot.  It was a beautiful day.  Despite the fact that I lost my car keys, broke a lens and a nail, was stopped by the cops not once, but twice, I was happy to be sharing in the start of Sarah and Will’s new life together.  Much like every couple, Will and Sarah have embarked on a new journey. However, unlike other couples, though, their journey begins in Italy where Will has been stationed for the next three years.

Sarah and Will, I’m humbled that I was able to share your day with your fantastic family and friends.  You two were an amazing couple to work with and I wish you much love, happiness…and plenty of gelatos.  Keep in touch and enjoy Italy!

Now…onto some pictures!

Gorgeous! :)

I would love to know what dads think right before those doors to the church open…

One of my favs! :)

See what I mean about savoring the moment, despite what’s going on around them?

Will is simply FANTASTIC!

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t give mad props to their AWESOME!! bridal party :)

BLING!

In the car on the way to the church, Sarah’s dad asked her how she was going to dance with heels.  I thought that was an odd question to ask…surely Sarah had danced in heels before.  However, come time for their first dance as husband and wife, I saw Sarah and Will both take off their shoes and head out on the dance floor to dance…the mambo!  They did a fantastic job!

And cake…

What’s the Fourth of July without a little fireworks?!

Patrice and Andrew: Engaged! | Sneak Peek | Citizens Bank Park

If you would have told me a year ago that photography would take me to where I am today, I would have laughed at you.  A hard belly laugh. To say that I have been ridiculously blessed with where I am today is an understatement.  I have met fabulous couples, gained at least 20 pounds from eating the most amazing wedding cakes, have worked harder than ever, discovered my true passion in life (other than my family) and have had the opportunity to shoot in the most AMAZING of places.  Sometimes, it’s just surreal.

Not being a sports fanatic by any means, I’m sure it had a different meaning to me. But nonetheless, shooting at Citizens Bank Park yesterday…the home of the 2008 World Series Champions…was nothing short of breathakingly FANTASTIC!

You’re going to have to wait for the full post where I will showcase all the cool places that we were able to shoot, but for now, enjoy this sneak peek.  Patrice and Andrew…Mike and the kids are still talking about it! Was this not bad ass?!

Jenelle and Joe: Engaged! | St. Peter’s Village

Meet Jenelle and Joe…

They’re getting married!

And despite the craziness that planning a wedding causes, they have got it together and are savoring their engagement.

Jenelle is ridiculously gorgeous!

And they are ridiculously in love.

We spent the afternoon in St. Peter’s Village where Jenelle spent many an afternoon after school hanging out and I just fell in love with its quaint, relaxed, beautiful atmosphere….

Guys…it was a pleasure hanging out with you and Jenelle…HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!

More from our afternoon together can be seen HERE…ON THEIR SLIDESHOW!

Meghann and Matt: Married | Blue Bell Country Club

Some things are just meant to be.  Fate intercedes. Stars and planets align…  Meghann and Matt are just meant.to.be AND I was meant to be their wedding photographer.  Their original photographer missed out on a fabulous celebration of love and family.  Indeed, it has been a pleasure getting to know Meg and Matt and being a part of their wedding day was an honor.

There’s alot of ground to cover…so, let’s get rollin’

This is Matt…eavesdropping on crazy stories that the boys were telling in the other room.

And despite the crazy stories, they are all a great bunch of fun guys…

Across the street, where Meghan was getting ready with her ladies, it was all giggles and nerves and gorgeousness.

And even though she never got the chance to wear them, I HEART Meg’s shoes…

 Rock on, girlfriend!

The makings of a bride…I absolutely ADORE this picture…

And then there’s the first time Meg saw how incredibly beautiful she was…

Everyone knows that I love details…especially details that connect generations together and have a special meaning to the bride and groom.

The bridal bouquets were FAB!

Almost as fab as the ladies…

And seriously…AYKM?! Meg…you are gorgeous! :)

Ok…and let’s just chat for a second about dad’s and their daughters… That moment where a dad sees his daughter in a wedding dress just makes one’s heart overflow with happiness and love.  I LOVE these moments.

Now…let’s go get married!

Can you tell he was a little happy?! :)

The new Mr. and Mrs.

…sharing their first dance.

and speaking of dances…

I love Chotsi looking on and capturing this moment…

…and the way Matt’s mom held on oh.so.tight…

You all know how I feel about gorgeous confection…

This series just cracked me up… look at the dedication in these women!

And finally…one of my favorite images from the day.  SWOON! :)

Meg and Matt…there are so many words that I want to use to fill this blog post with how utterly amazing I think you both are.  Your wedding was beautiful, your family and friends could not have been more loving and gracious to me. The entire day was perfection and I am humbled to have shared in it with you.  My only wish is that the rest of your days together be like this…

…full of joy, love and laughter.  Much love and appreciation.

Oh…and there are a TON more images HERE…IN THIER SLIDESHOW.  Be sure to check it out!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank the uber fab, April, for helping me out.  You complete me!

Emily and AJ : Sneak Peek!

Yesterday, I was reminded of why I chose photography over my legal career…
