Me! : Philadelphia’s HOT LIST

The best trade I’ve ever made has been my old cell phone for Elia’s iphone.  LOVE! the fact that I can get my emails anywhere now :)  Not to mention, the little GPS feature saved us while we were in Washington. But I digress…

So, the other night we’re eating ice cream and I get an email that I’ve been nominated for Philadelphia’s HOT LIST.  I nearly choked on my forbidden chocolate. That means that it’s up to you, internet, to make me win.  Competition is steep. So many of the photographers I admire are on the list. BUT… it’s all up to you guys!  So, don’t be shy.  Go, run, vote for me…oh, and leave some love, too!

If I win, I’ll bake a cake for all of us to share. :)

Becky and Mark: Married! | Emmaus Moravian Church and Iacocca Hall

On her way to the church her sisters serenaded her.  Each one of them as talented as the next and as beautiful as Becky on her wedding day.  Becky was happy.  The kind of happy that makes you want to jump up and down on your bed, the kind that just eminates and makes everyone else happy.  She was on her way to marry her lovey.  No amount of rain (and believe me, it poured) could wipe the smiles from any of the faces that shared in their day…but most especially Becky and Mark’s.

Having just graduated from Temple a few weeks back (if that), Becky and Mark embarked on their new life together and despite the rain, the day was absolutely perfect :).

When April and I walked in to where Becky was getting ready we were greeted by giddy girls, happily singing away and helping their sister prepare for her walk down the aisle.

Her gorgeous Nicole Miller dress fit her like a dream.

And of course, the handsome boys…

Just breathtaking…  this was my view and the aisle shot is April’s view.

One could hear the rain falling on the roof.  So we kept the fun inside :)

During patches of no rain, however, we ran outside for a few…

This is tradition…Becky and her brother and sisters… I <3 them :)

Their reception was held at Iacocca Hall. AMAZING :) venue with a spectacular view of the Lehigh Valley.

I love how her sisters were looking on…

And finally…

Becky and Mark…it was an absolutel joy and pleasure to share in your wedding day.  I cannot thank you enough for letting me be the one that got to document your wedding.

To see a ton more…seriously…a bunch, because I couldn’t narrow it down, click to watch their SLIDESHOW.

Oh, and super MAD PROPS to my ever talented second shooter, April.  You rock my world! :)

Us: Washington, D.C.

With the kids running circles around us and creating a dust storm so as to surround us with their presence, one night over dinner and martinis, Mike and I decided to pack everyone up and take a mini-vacay.  We gave them the choice…D.C., land of the dinosaurs and the white house, or Disney, land of the mouse.  Hands down, and oddly enough, they all screamed, Washington!

We had a ridiculously good time strolling about the streets of our nation’s capitol, ducking in and out of museums and riding double decker buses.

Here’s a SLIDESHOW from our visit.  Enjoy!

And because no blog post is complete without a picture…

Me…exhausted. My children being…well…themselves. :)

Us: Camden Aquarium

It isn’t summer until you’ve visited at least one aquarium.  Today was the start of our summer…yes…a bit late. But nonetheless fun. So, off to the Camden Aquarium we went.

And after watching jellyfish, we got to touch jellies.

The main lobby was just sooo pretty.

And the tanks were ginormous!

Of course, everyone’s favorite was the sharkies!

Mr. Drama saving it for his momma :)

I think I found Nemo :)

And this guy…we tried to make him puff up, but it never happened.

After taking this picture I turned to Mike and said, “Dude…Red Lobster for dinner?” :)

Shenanigans :)

Summer laziness.  The dude next to me said, “is he real?”  Dude…are you for real?

Odd things you see at the aquarium. A porcupine.

And my absolute favorite. A HipHopONonimous :)

Enjoy your summer! :)

(A side note for all my photog friends…all of these were shoot at 1600 ISO, with my 50mm at f/1.4)

Elia : Philadelphia

Someone’s happy to have moved to Pennsylvania full time…

Jenn and Nick: Engaged! | Bethlehem, PA

Meet Nick and Jenn…

They’re getting married in the fall and I can’t wait to document their day!

Nick’s quiet.  Like super quiet.  Like I think he only spoke 3 sentences when we shot their engagement session.  BUT! His love for Jenn just screams and the way that he practically yelled in bar to tell his friends that she was super cute, just goes to show how much he truly loves her.

Just look at the way he looks at her…

Jenn…she’s all smiles and giggles…a giddy girl planning her fantabulous wedding to the man of her dreams.

Together…they’re a force large enough to derail trains… hehehe…I just had to! :)

So, as we galavanted around historic Bethlehem, I got to hear all about their love story, the seduction that took place, the difference between the color wine and the color magenta and become fast friends with Jenn and Nick.

Their engagement session was sooo hard for me to edit.  I loved all the shots I took!  Make sure you check them out here, in their SLIDESHOW, and make sure to leave some blog love for Jenn and Nick!

A message to all my future bridal parties…

Get ready to jump!

Sarah and Will’s bridal party yesterday had some mad jumpin’ skillz :)

Happy 4th of July!

I hope it’s extra sparkly!

Erin and Dustin: Engaged | Freddy Hill Farms

Meet Erin and Dustin.  They’re really excited to get married this coming November! :)

This is Erin’s beautifully, sparkly ring.  Isn’t it purtey?!

Almost as purtey as Erin… almost…

Oh….and this is Dustin.

He really, really loves Erin… and he loves to smooch on her, too. :)

Together, they are happily in love…

We spent a perfectly plain Monday at Freddy Hill Farms and had a perfectly wonderful time.   You may remember them from part one of their engagement session.  They’re planning their wedding this November at Bear Creek Ski Resort and I can’t wait to join them.  They are just so awesome and so in love and so fun!  Their SLIDESHOW is here…make sure you stop by and congratulate them and/or comment on their mad jumpin’ skillz! :)
