Yellow is the color of Spring

I pass this field every day and I love it.

He thought it was pretty too. :)

Hailey Jade

My little niece, Stephanie.  Not so little anymore.

She’s beautiful, smart, an incredible chef…just all around awesome.  Maternal glow totally suited her.  She was radiant when I saw her at my niece’s wedding.

Today, she became a momma…to beautiful Hailey Jade.  Weighing in at 7.1lbs…she was born on an awesomely beautiful day in Florida and has no idea how much love she has on her side.  Welcome to the world, Hailey!  I can’t wait to meet you!

Stepha…welcome to motherhood!  It’s a wild ride but you will absolutely LOVE every minute of it. :)

(cell phone picture provided by proud Titi Jasmine after much nagging on my part :) )

Emily + AJ |Still Engaged! |Lake Nockamixon, Perkasie

Em and AJ, oh, how I love thee…let me count the ways…

Your infectious laughter…

Your absolute cuteness…

the way you humor me… (or is it the way you let me humor you?!)

your corniness…

your mad skillz (people, one take…that all this shot too!)

your passion (and covert grabbin’…hehehe)

your love for grandma…

your ability to rock it out…and TOTALLY make my day :)

Dude…is it August yet?!

Their SLIDESHOW just oozes AWESOME!  Check it out.  You better!

Em & AJ | Sneak Peek

I love spending time with these two…

Almost too scandalous for Grandma to see :)

Krista + Jeff: Married | Mary Mother of the Redeemer & Pine Crest Country Club

Let’s talk about bling…

And an awesome dress and ultrafab shoes

Krista rocked it…totally bringing the glam on her fantastic wedding day!

And Jeff?  Puhleeze…he was glam too.

And ridiculous happy and smiley! :)

Oh…and this little dude…he just screamed excitment for his Aunt and Uncle!

Their ceremony was super sweet.  I LOVE the moment Jeff saw Krista walking up to him.

Rockin’ out the bling as husband and wife!

The ladies totally outnumbered the guys…

Sharing a super sweet first dance…

Krista and Jeff…I *heart* you!  She is super sweet, he is a big teddy bear…together, they are amazing and made my job ridiculously easy.  The first time we met with my camera they were super shy, by the time we walked away from their engagement session they were at ease and at their wedding, they were comfortable and totally rocked it for me.

Surrounded by their fantastic family and friends they laughed, they danced, they had a blast.  Krista and Jeff, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my uber talented assistant, Heather.  Heather, you can totally kick it ninja style with the rest of us! :)

For a mega ton of images from their wedding…check out their SLIDESHOW

A rare moment in some sweet light

Yeah…that’s me. I know you just blinked super duper fast and then pinched yourself to make sure that it really was me.  Those that know me, know that I’m NOT the one to stand in front of the camera.  I’m always the one behind it.  Given that fact, I soooo wasn’t prepared to be in front of the camera tonight.  I was in an old sweatshirt, jeans 2 sizes to big and dirty kicks…hair a mess, no bling and definitely no make up.

Those that have booked a session with me have heard me talk about “sweet light”…that golden hour before sunset where the sun casts this beautiful golden glow on everything.  Tonight was the first night in a week that it hasn’t been insanely cold and raining.  So, I grabbed the boys, the IMP and my trust 85mm and headed out to find me some sweet light.  Then Mike took the camera and started snappin’.

So there…now you have me on the other side of the camera and some examples of sweet light.  Next time we meet up to shoot your session, you know I’m going to want to book it at a time where we’re gonna get some sweet light.  Don’t worry about not looking totally glam…sweet light makes anyone looks fantabulous!

:)

Love so sweet

I often get asked how it is that I get the best of couples on camera; How I get them to relax and be themselves.  The truth is that I have THE BEST couples; couples who are truly in love.  I guess I see it and I help nudge it out of them because I have it and can identify it.  Love.  In its corniest of definition, in its truest form, in abundance.  Once you identify with it…it’s easy to bring it out in even the most reserved of couples.

My husband is my business partner, my advisor, the calm that surrounds my storm (because, let’s face it…I’m a thunderous storm), my friend…and today is our wedding anniversary.  Our life together has been crazy.  It still is.  But much like the couples that I photograph, it’s real, it’s relaxed, it’s true.

This afternoon, after a crazy morning, this treat arrived for us to share.  So…I’m off to share.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BEAR! Blye Blub Blue…Blaow Blan Blorblebber!

Elizabeth + Jose| Married! |Crowne Plaza, West Palm Beach, Florida

“There is a piece of everyone at this wedding…we all made it possible.”  That’s what my niece, Jasmine, told me at some point during the reception.  We looked around at the work that 9 months of planning had turned into fruition and just smiled.  The widest, happiest smile humanly possible.  Everything was perfect.

My niece’s wedding. AMAZING. Beautiful. Everyone that has sat down with me for 5 minutes has heard about this wedding for months and months and finally, last Friday, the day arrived.  Five years to the day from when they first started dating. I’ve thought about what I’m going to write as my blog entry and my mind draws a blank…there’s just sooo much to say.

I can talk about the glow that my niece had and how handsome Jose looked…

or the traditions that took place and those that we remembered so dearly…

or the heirlooms that were handed down…

or the emotion that Jose felt as he said his “I do’s”…

or the pride that the parents felt…

or how amazing they look together…

But for me, it’s overwhelming… as overwhelming as it is to get your own mini version of the bride and groom’s wedding cake as a thank you gift.

as overwhelming as it is to photograph a person you literally grew up with and see that person just sooo beautiful…

Amazing. Beautiful. Emotional.  Those are the words that I would use to describe this wedding.  This perfect wedding that united my niece and her amazing husband.

So…because a picture is definitely worth a thousand words, you simply have to check out their picture packed SLIDESHOW because there are no words that can describe the love I feel for these two and the emotion, time, passion and details that went into making this day possible.

I love you both!

Jamie + Seth: Engaged | Peace Valley Park

He looks at her with complete adoration…one smile and he melts.  She falls into his arms and feels safe and loved.  Jamie and Seth complete each other.  They met at church and in a few weeks, she’ll walk down the aisle…into his arms.  She’ll smile at him and he’ll melt.  Together they will pledge love and kiss to seal the deal.

I met Jamie and Seth for their engagement session at Peace Valley Park and it was a trial run for their wedding day.  They interact with such tenderness, such passion, such sweetness and I am beyond thrilled to be capturing their wedding day.

As I was going through their images I found myself limiting my favorites…they were all my favorites.  Below is a taste…but definately check out their SLIDESHOW for a bunch more.

Jamie and Seth…I can’t wait to see you guys again!

Kaitlin + Kerry: Engaged | Valley Forge National Park

On most Wednesday nights you can find us at the Pizza Hut down the street.  We’ve been going there for the past 6 years.  It’s our weeknight visit with Sydney and it’s her favorite place to go.  To say that I’m sooo over pizza is an understatement.  So you can imagine my chuckle when I found out that Kerry and Kaitlin had met at that pizza hut.  He was the general manager and she was one of the servers.

Their time at Pizza Hut was a stepping stone in their relationship.  Even though their friendship grew like pizza dough, after a few years of working there, Kaitlin went off to school.  I asked Kaitlin, “how did you know he was the one?”  She said, “he drove for hours just to visit me at school.”  They’ve been inseparable since.

Their wedding in May will be at Shawnee…in the Poconos…where they go every single year for vacation.  I can’t wait! Those of you who have been to the Poconos know that it’s beautiful year round.  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding!

A few weeks ago we head out to Valley Forge National Park for their engagement session.  Among the deer, I photographed their sweet relationship and the tender moments that they shared.

There are a TON of pictures on their SLIDESHOW… make sure you check it out!

Kerry and Kaitlin…I can’t wait to see you guys again in a few weeks!
