Sandie & Rick : Married!

Crazy. That’s how it’s been. That’s how it’s going to be for the next month or so. Non-stop, constantly moving, over the top, crazy. And I love it.

The month started off with a fantabulous wedding at The Bay Pony Inn. Sandie and Rick, as you remember from their engagement session, have been together forever and they finally decided to tie the knot.  Their wedding was so warm and inviting and full of friends and family that Mike and I totally felt like part of the bunch, as opposed to just photographers.  Elaine and her crew at the Bay Pony were nothing short of spectacular and the place was just amazing…much like Sandie and Rick.

I loved there ceremony…from the second Rick saw his bride for the first time, til the second they turned around to greet their guests.  You could just see and feel the love between them.  I totally *heart* the way that Rick is looking at Sandie as they walked down the aisle.

Their first dance was the absolute cutest.  And I’m stoked that I was able to capture this moment…

Cake and shaninigans.  A wonderful combination.

**ETA** SLIDESHOW

Sandie and Rick…I hope you won big in AC! But as far as I’m concerned, you’ve already won the biggest prize of all…each other.  Thank you so very much for having me as part of your day. Much love and appreciation.

Right now, this is just cracking me up!

Shenanigans in the kitchen.

Tiffany, Drew & Maya

Family dynamics are different and special for each family.  Mine, for instance, has mine, his and ours and though there is a special bond with each family member, I think, by far, the most challenging and most rewarding is the one that I have with my stepdaughter, Sydney…whom I just refer to as my daughter.  We’ve been together since the beginning of time and while at times the relationship proves challenging, there is no greater reward knowing that I’m an integral part of her life as well as she is to mine.

The role of a stepparent is never easy. There are boundaries, there are moments where you just want to rip your hair out, but none of that ever deminishes the love and connection there is between stepchild and stepparent. Tiffany and Maya have created that special bond.  The love of a parent to a child knows no step…it just flows…naturally.  One look at Tiffany and Maya’s connection and you can tell that the love just flows.  Add in Drew and you’ve got a recipe for one fantastic family.

Tiffany and Drew are getting married in a few weeks.  Rather than just an engagement session, we decided that Maya, as integral as she is to their marriage, should be part of their session.  We shared an amazing afternoon at Chestnut Hill College and it was my absolute pleasure to spend time with them, get to know them and share in their fun family love.

Below are some of my favorite images from their session…

Fiori & Ilirjan : Married!

The best memory of their wedding is the sheer joy and happiness that filled the room.  Fiori was full of smiles all day and once she joined her life with Ilirjan, she beamed.  Theirs was an Albanian wedding full of heritage and ethnicity and it was my absolute pleasure to be introduced to their culture and share in their festivities.

Her bridesmaids…her best friend and sister…couldn’t have been more helpful. The comical thing was that instead of them keeping Fiori from stressing…it was the other way around. Fiori was amazingly calm and serene the entire day.

After the ceremony we all headed out to Center City, Philadelphia.

Then it was off to party at the Drexel Hill Country Club.  And the dancing…OMG! Their first dance was absolutely explosive!

Fiori and Ilir…it was my absolute pleasure to be part of your day!

Sneak Peek

I can’t even begin to describe how AMAZING Sally & Mike’s wedding this past Saturday was…

As if time didn’t already zip right by me

Today my little guy starts kindergarten.

Marisa & Chris:Engaged!

Simply fantastic!  Those are the words that I would use to describe Marisa and Chris.

We bonded immediately…over dinner and drinks at the Continental.  As Marisa described her perfect wedding, her eyes became wide and starry…Celtic Fest, celebrating her heritage, surrounded by friends and family, in Hotel Bethlehem’s Grand Ballroom.  Chris smiled and nodded in adoration of his soon-to-be bride.  The catcher…which Chris just beamed about…is that the reception will be complete with freestyle music.  I think I let out a little squeal of glee at the thought of photographing their event to the tunes of Stevie B, Facination, Sweet Sensation, Coro and George LaMond — the tunes that had helped me survive high school.

Their engagement session was a blast.  We met at their venue and then right smack in the middle of Music Fest’s first day we started snapping pictures.  Across the street is one of Moravian College’s amazing campus locations.  The perfect setting for an amazing session during awesome light! It took me forever to go through all the images I snapped in our hour and a half and it’s taken me even longer to select my favorites for this entry.

Marisa and Chris, you are fantastic and I’m thrilled to be part of your wedding! I can’t wait! Enjoy your images!

Much love - Is
