New digs…

Back to the daily 9-5 grind (although not really). Before the recession is in full swing I thought I’d get prepared and went back to work for a more secure income.

Between Sisters

It’s so great to see my nieces growing up to be amazing, independent, beautiful women. Although it makes me feel a tad on the old side, it’s conforting to know that my oldest niece is only 5 years younger than I am.

I giggled as I took these images and was thrilled to see the tight connection between them as they reveled in Jasmine’s pregnancy. They’re all so excited…as is the rest of the family.

It all started with this stapler

M: Does anyone have a stapler?
I: Yeah, here.

with a weird look on his face…

M: Nerd.

And that’s how our love blossomed 7 years ago. I was the only nerd at the evening college with a stapler.

The stapler always sits on my desk. More than a picture, it’s a constant reminder of how he and I became us.

Meet Chicken

This is Chicken. He arrived at our house on Christmas Day after Santa told Sydney that she was going to get a chicken since she was too shy to tell him what she really wanted.

Where the magic happens

My space downstairs…

Go, Go Power Rangers

Jackpot! We went to the thrift store to donate some of our “stuff” that’s been accumulating in the basement. When we did a walk through of the store, I spotted a bag filled with these goodies. A grab bag of Power Rangers. Needless to say, many, many hours were then spent with the new bag of treasures.

Sunday morning, rain is falling…

A riveting episode of The Backyardigans

Legoland

It’s been a lego kind of day…

Blackie

When we first got Blackie and the four other rats, I was totally freaked out! However, they’re not bad at all! They’re quite funny, do tricks and are somewhat potty trained (thanks to Mike). Blackie likes to sniff around…especially around my desk since he knows I always have a stash of chocolate.

Valentines

Every year, despite their age, I ask the kids if they want me to make them valentines for their friends. Immediately, Elia exclaims “YES!” Every year, I create them with love…not just of the craft but of my kids. Sometimes they even feel inclined to help me in their creation…which I love even more.
This year, I’m offering the same to my clients. If you would like valentines using pictures from your session, just let me know : ) They are 5×7, printed on premium photo paper, include envelopes and are $1.50 a valentine. The deadline to order valentines is Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

Here are some samples…
