Joseph Ambler Inn Wedding: Marissa and Corey

Intimacy. It’s a word often associated with a bride and groom. Some consider it a private term. However, Corey and Marissa turned the word into a family affair. Their wedding day was perfection. Marissa looked radiant. Corey, through tears, could not have been happier and prouder. And they celebrated the day with their most intimate family and friends in what could be one of the most intimate of wedding venues in our area.  As I stood in the corner during toasts and watched the emotions fly, I couldn’t help but be thankful to be part of such an amazing experience…one full of love and emotion and intimacy.

Thank you, Marissa and Corey, for allowing me to document your wedding day and for being yourselves.

The Joseph Ambler Inn is gorgeous…both the grounds and the estate. I LOVE working there.

As a big proponent of the bride and groom sharing a first glance, I simply LOVED this moment that Marissa and Corey shared.  And, let me continue with stating that he smiled even wider and cried even harder when he saw his bride walk down the aisle towards him.

I’ll end it here…with an image that, to me, speaks volumes…of their day, of what just happened, of their love. However, to see more from their day, their SLIDESHOW is here.

Centre Bridge Inn | New Hope Wedding : Amanda and Fran

It is rumored that when King Arthur was having marital problems with Lady Genevieve, he visited Merlin in the hopes of gaining some wisdom on how to deal with his problems. He said to Merlin, “You’ve given me advice on everything in life.  You’ve told me how to lead my life, my people and my country.  However, never once have you given me advice about women and now more than ever, I’m completely lost.” Merlin stopped and looked at him with a quizzical expression and after a few minutes said to his King, “Just love her. Love her in good times. Love her harder in bad times. Just love her.”

This is the story that Fran’s father shared with Amanda and Fran during their wedding toasts.  Just love her.

Amanda and Fran reside in Perth, Australia.  And as the day went on and we learned that not everyone in Australia owns a pet kangaroo and that there really are no Outback Steakhouses at every corner, we learned of their fierce love for each other, their amazing friends and phenomenal families.  Their day bustled with excitement…all the pieces that Amanda had carefully crafted were set into place and at the end of the night, it could not have been more beautiful.  Fran, with his Yeti beard and single rose had won Amanda over as she called home from a telephone booth outside of her new college in Perth.  Amanda, with her gorgeous smile and American ways, charmed Fran like no other. Together, there is just love.

Fran and Amanda, thank you so very much for allowing me the opportunity to get to know you, to share in your wedding day and to document your love.

Below are some of my favorites from the day…but let it be known that I had a wicked hard time selecting the bunches that are showcased in their SLIDESHOW.

Their day started at the Centre Bridge Inn in New Hope. A simply gorgeous venue overlooking the Delaware River.

From the goodies baskets for her out of town guests, to the love and details that she displayed towards her bridesmaids, Amanda had thought of everything…

Yeah, she’s that gorgeous.

Their cute little church in New Britain proved to be gorgeous, albeit challenging with its lack of a traditional center aisle…

Married!

Though I am know for my less than passionate love for frogs, I couldn’t resist…

Moustaches make it all fun…

My goal was to recreate one of my favorite images from their engagement session. Check and Mark!

Yes, those are chickens in the background. No, we couldn’t catch one.

Props to my fabulous assistant, Nicole…these three images are her view of their first dance.

I was wowed when I saw their reception room come together. All of the details were amazing…

And…we’ll end it with cake. :)

Lambertville Inn Station Wedding: Amanda and Ben

They fell in love over recycling. The simple gesture of picking up a flower and handing it to her while at a recycling yard proved that he, in fact, loved her to pieces. Amanda and Ben express their love in gestures.  A stare, a grasping hand hold, a simple kiss on the cheek.  It speaks volumes…to them and to everyone around them. So, it came as no surprise that when Amanda and Ben decided to get married, nearly everyone traveled to see the event.

The day started off at the Lambertville Inn Station where everyone was getting ready.  After hearing so many fantastic things about them, I finally had the opportunity to work alongside with Emily of Cheekadee and Kristen of KLP Hair Designs.  These ladies did a fabulous job on Amanda (and her girls) hair and makeup.

Gabriela of No Limit Events and her team pulled off a gorgeous setting for Amanda and Ben’s nuptials at the General Greene Pavillion in New Hope. And the cutie paper cranes were all handmade over months by Amanda.

Married!

Amanda and Ben…it was a pleasure to share in your wedding day along with your fabulous friends and amazing family. To check out more from their day, their SLIDESHOW is here.

Hatfield and Lansdale Wedding: Jennifer and Patrick

Good times. Jen and Pat’s wedding celebration was just that.  Amist the heat and the sun of the day, they had a gorgeous wedding filled with laughter, love and good times.  So, below is a snippet of how the day unfolded.

A special thanks to the incomparable April Ziegler who shot alongside with me.  A good number of her images are below.  And I definitely want to give a shout out to Jen’s folks who created the wonderland that is their backyard where Jen and Pat’s wedding was held.  Gorgeous!  And finally…thanks to Jen and Pat for having April and I along for the ride.  It was an awesome pleasure.  More of their day is here…in their SLIDESHOW…check it.

One of my favorite pictures of the day.  I knew that the second I shot it.  It’s Pat’s grandmother’s hand reaching out to him during the sign of peace. It was truly a privilege to have her there that day…a privilege that meant so much to so many people.

Grandma.

See? Good times.

Peace Valley Park Anytime: Jennifer and Jason

“It’s when you let your guard down that I start snappin’ away.” That’s what I told Jason and Jen when we met up for their session.

Ever the sweetest thing, Jason looks at Jen and she melts.  They’ve been together for what seems an eternity and just wanted to have their pictures taken…to document the now.  So, that’s what we did.  Documented a snippet of their love in an afternoon.  It’s the way that he looks at her. The way that she smiles back.  The way that he wraps his arms around her waist and she buries herself in his neck.  It’s the life in between the moments that I capture…the everyday moments that seem so mundane but totally depict your relationship. The moments where you think I’m not watching.

This is how it plays out.

Jason and Jen…thanks for letting me document your now.  Oh..and Jason, I still think you should get the bear. :) To see more of our afternoon together, their SLIDESHOW is here.

Rose Bank Winery Engagement: Barbara and Kenny

Kenny and Barb have a chemistry that’s cute, fun loving and romantic.  Supposedly, they were nervous to be in front of the camera.  I just asked that they be themselves…this is what I got.

Because of Kenny, I have grown increasingly in love with my iphone’s hipstamatic camera. So, while I was changing out gear, Kenny was doing this.  I decided not to switch my gear out.

Mortified that we’d go to jail for trespassing, Barb reluctantly agreed to an impromptu make out session in an old junky car. We didn’t go to jail.

Barb and Kenny! Thanks so much for spending your afternoon with me. I can’t wait til the wedding!

For more of our afternoon together, their SLIDESHOW IS HERE. Check it!

Wyomissing Engagement Session: Meredith and John

Guess who’s excited to announce that they’re getting married?!

Meet Meredith and John…so cute and sweet that I have a cavity from our engagement session.

The light was glorious this evening and I could have shot there all afternoon. :)

FAV!  :)

This is the part where we I should disclosure that objects are further away than they appear.  From the side of the road, the tree in the following picture really didn’t seem that far away.  So, off we went..through sticker bushes, poison ivy, possible snake traps…

…all for this tree (and the sweet light, of course) :)

When your in a cave of trees without any sweet light…create your own.

Le Yum!

BLING!

Super FAV! :)

And then..grandma’s blanket. Swoon!  I made Meredith grab it as we were leaving their house.  Best.Decision.Ever!

Meredith and John…thanks for a RAD afternoon!  Enjoy their SLIDESHOW here.

Wissahickon Park Engagement: Elizabeth and Vince

Two doughnut and a coffee…it’s their Sunday morning tradition.

Nestled in the woods of Wissahickon State Park, I met Liz and Vince and shot their engagement session.  As we climbed wet, moldy waterfalls and braved danger as we scaled rocks and waded through currents, we nervously laughed knowing that we were doing it for the sake of capturing “the moment.”  But seriously, how gorgeous does that look?!

The rest of our evening together was a piece of cake after all that :)

Liz and Vince…I anxiously await your wedding next spring at Leola Village. For more images of their engagement session, their SLIDESHOW is here.

Souderton Engagement: Moira and Brad

I live in a super cute town…straight up Main Street, U.S.A..  It has old brick buildings, trees that line the streets, it’s own Wawa, Sunday night concerts at the local park.  Total quaint cuteness in 1.12 square miles. So, when Moira and Brad, who are practically my neighbors, wanted to do their engagement session in our little town of Souderton, I was all for it.

Meet Moira and Brad. My favorites are below, but their SLIDESHOW is here.

Settlers Inn Wedding: Sally and Trevor

Caves have a mysterious vibe about them.  A scary mystic that lures you in.  They’re wondrous, adventurous, exhilarating…deep.  Much like love and marriage. Sally and Trevor love exploring caves and their love is all of those things rolled into a ball of fun.  Their wedding at Settlers Inn was lovely…a depiction of their love for each other and their desire to share their day with their family and friends.

Sally and Trevor…thanks for having me along.

In the end, I don’t know if he figured it out. :)

She…who stole the show with her cuteness.

I love proud dads at weddings.
