All things engagements

Peace Valley Park Anytime: Jennifer and Jason

“It’s when you let your guard down that I start snappin’ away.” That’s what I told Jason and Jen when we met up for their session.

Ever the sweetest thing, Jason looks at Jen and she melts.  They’ve been together for what seems an eternity and just wanted to have their pictures taken…to document the now.  So, that’s what we did.  Documented a snippet of their love in an afternoon.  It’s the way that he looks at her. The way that she smiles back.  The way that he wraps his arms around her waist and she buries herself in his neck.  It’s the life in between the moments that I capture…the everyday moments that seem so mundane but totally depict your relationship. The moments where you think I’m not watching.

This is how it plays out.

Jason and Jen…thanks for letting me document your now.  Oh..and Jason, I still think you should get the bear. :) To see more of our afternoon together, their SLIDESHOW is here.

Rose Bank Winery Engagement: Barbara and Kenny

Kenny and Barb have a chemistry that’s cute, fun loving and romantic.  Supposedly, they were nervous to be in front of the camera.  I just asked that they be themselves…this is what I got.

Because of Kenny, I have grown increasingly in love with my iphone’s hipstamatic camera. So, while I was changing out gear, Kenny was doing this.  I decided not to switch my gear out.

Mortified that we’d go to jail for trespassing, Barb reluctantly agreed to an impromptu make out session in an old junky car. We didn’t go to jail.

Barb and Kenny! Thanks so much for spending your afternoon with me. I can’t wait til the wedding!

For more of our afternoon together, their SLIDESHOW IS HERE. Check it!

Wyomissing Engagement Session: Meredith and John

Guess who’s excited to announce that they’re getting married?!

Meet Meredith and John…so cute and sweet that I have a cavity from our engagement session.

The light was glorious this evening and I could have shot there all afternoon. :)

FAV!  :)

This is the part where we I should disclosure that objects are further away than they appear.  From the side of the road, the tree in the following picture really didn’t seem that far away.  So, off we went..through sticker bushes, poison ivy, possible snake traps…

…all for this tree (and the sweet light, of course) :)

When your in a cave of trees without any sweet light…create your own.

Le Yum!

BLING!

Super FAV! :)

And then..grandma’s blanket. Swoon!  I made Meredith grab it as we were leaving their house.  Best.Decision.Ever!

Meredith and John…thanks for a RAD afternoon!  Enjoy their SLIDESHOW here.

Wissahickon Park Engagement: Elizabeth and Vince

Two doughnut and a coffee…it’s their Sunday morning tradition.

Nestled in the woods of Wissahickon State Park, I met Liz and Vince and shot their engagement session.  As we climbed wet, moldy waterfalls and braved danger as we scaled rocks and waded through currents, we nervously laughed knowing that we were doing it for the sake of capturing “the moment.”  But seriously, how gorgeous does that look?!

The rest of our evening together was a piece of cake after all that :)

Liz and Vince…I anxiously await your wedding next spring at Leola Village. For more images of their engagement session, their SLIDESHOW is here.

Downingtown Country Club Engagement : Marissa and Corey

It baffles me how people can hit a teeny tiny ball with the grand expectation of getting it into a teeny tiny hole hundreds of feet away.  Baffles.  BUT, Corey and Marissa enjoy it and therefore, wanted to incorporate their love of golf into their engagement session.  I adore Corey…if anything because he schooled me on golf.  Not that I retained any of the information, but I loved his enthusiasm. We shot at Downingtown Country Club…a gorgeous golf course with AH.MAY.ZING light and had a blast driving around on a little zippy golf cart.  He and Marissa will wed in a few weeks and being a part of their day makes me smile. :)

Their slideshow is HERE, but enjoy some of my favs below.

Fischer Park Engagement: Laura and Daniel

It threatened rain.  Thunderstorms, in fact.  Yet, she smiled knowing that she was in loving arms and that she would be marrying him in less than a month’s time.

Meet Laura and Dan.  Their story is simple…boy meets girl.  Boy and girl fall in love.  Boy nervously holds onto the ring for over a month.  Girl gets annoyed when boy takes her to the park one morning, early, without breakfast…just to take a walk.  Then Boy asks Girl to be his bride and it becomes one of the happiest days of her life.

I cannot wait until their wedding. Their SLIDESHOW is here…some of my favorites are down below.

Morris Arboretum Engagement : Julie and Andrew

We laid in bed one night, windows open, cool fall breeze coming in, when Mike mentioned, “He seems really, really happy.” And he was.  Andy had brought Julie over for dinner and we instantly fell in love with her. It was evident that Andy was completely smitten with her too.  Little did we imagine that in the short span of a year, Mike’s little brother, Andy, would propose to Julie and ask her to be his bride.  The following Christmas Eve, when they came over for dinner, she glowed as she proudly showed off her gorgeous ring…and we all couldn’t be happier for them.

I get the amazing honor of documenting their wedding day…and together we had a great time at their recent engagement session at Morris Arboretum.  Their SLIDESHOW is here, but some of my favorites are featured below.  Julie!  Welcome to our crazy family!

Julie and Andy have several kitties…Finn, is the latest addition…and when I saw this bench, I knew I needed to include it.

So.Very.Andy.

My favorite portrait. EVER.

Signature Flare :)

Valley Forge National Park Engagement : Jennifer and Adam

Valley Forge National Park didn’t know what hit it when Jenn and Adam brought their awesomeness to it!

We met on a sweltering day…full of gorgeous clouds and amazing sweet light.  I was in pure heaven…minus the sweltering part. I always giggle when couples tell me that they are no good in front of the camera…that they’re uneasy…that the camera is the.most.unflattering thing to them.EVER.  Then we snap a few frames, I show them the LCD screen and immediately a smile pours over their face as they say, “WHOAAA!”  Yeah, they brought their AWESOMENESS and I’m beyond thrilled to be documenting their wedding this fall at Leola Village.

Their SLIDESHOW is here…but below are some of my favs (truth be told, I had a TON of favorites)! Check it!

Princeton, New Jersey Engagement : Sarah and Carly

Her grandmother knew and passed away in peace, knowing that Carly had found her true love.  As confirming proof, the ring that Sarah wears was given to her by Carly’s grandmother.  Sarah and Carly…geez…I don’t know.  I spent 2 hours with them and fell in love with them, their infectious laughter, their fun-loving spirit, their exuberant personalities…them.  Two amazing women, two best friends, two of the strongest personalities I’ve ever encountered…I’m honored to be a part of their wedding celebration this fall…to be their friend.

Despite losing my wallet at their engagement session at Sourland Mountain Preserve and finding out when we arrived at Princeton, I had a fantastic time with them.  We literally laughed the entire time. Oh, and my wallet was recovered the next day by a super awesome dog walker and her cutie pooch!  Faith in humanity restored!

Their SLIDESHOW is here, but my absolute favorites are below (well, at least some of them :)).

Souderton Engagement: Lori and Jake

Though he’s quiet and reserved, his love for her is great.  And she…the way she looks at him and holds his hand, shows the world that she feels as if she’s the luckiest girl in the world.  Together, they’ll wed later on this year in the cutest wedding I could ever envision.

Lori and Jake…thanks so much for spending your afternoon with me.  More of their engagement pictures can be viewed here, in their Slideshow.
