All things family

The Story of Us

It’s mine, his and ours.  Real simple, yet complicated at the same time.

We’re the strict ones. The disciplinarians. The ones that make you do homework and take showers. The ones that take you on fun vacations and exotic destinations. Together, we call our little cottage home. As of late, a complete, bursting at the seams home. And we couldn’t be happier. All of us.

So, with all of us at home, we grabbed the opportunity and took a field trip for some much needed family pictures.

This is us (and Sophie, too).

And them.

Elia.

Travis.

Sydney.

Nicholas.

At their request for an infamous jumpin’ shot.

The way we feel. Because honestly, there are only 2 of us and 4 of them. So outnumbered.

This will greet you the second you walk in through the doors of our home.

So, that’s it. Us. Complex yet simple. Crazy in love with each other…even though we’re always at each other’s throat. This zany family of mine…le sigh…just makes my heart melt.

A Baby Story: Angelina

Should I disclose on here that alot of my past brides have either had a baby or are expecting within the year? Do you think it’s me?

Regardless…I LOVE when I get the email or the call that says they’re expecting the arrival of the new addition to their new family.  I love it even more when they ask if I would document the journey.

So, I drove forever to meet up with Angie and Kevin…and below is a sneak peek of what’s to come.

I told them that I would like to see this picture HUGE hung over little Noah’s crib.

I call this: Portrait of a Three Year Old

One second they’re upset…the next…

Ellen and Steve: Engaged! | Royersford, Pennsylvania

There’s something about them that makes me smile. Even as parents to two ridiculously cute little boys, there’s a certain calm and peace about them.  The way he holds her, the way she calms them…they way they interact, the way they love.

There’s just something about them….

…that makes me :)

Ellen and Steve are getting married on Sunday…

…and I can’t wait to document their day. And smile all over again with them.

Their SLIDESHOW is here.  I guarantee it will make you smile too.

Cuteness you can eat with a spoon

Fall has arrived. Crisp air, brisk winds, tree leaves changing color…simply beautiful!  Add to that a gorgeous family and let me tell you, it’s the perfect way to start the weekend. :)

Kate…thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous family with me :) Oh…and thank you to Aunt Jess and Uncle Sean for the gift of photography!

He’s got that Boom Boom Pow!

Them chickens jackin’ his style…

so that she doesn’t feel totally neglected

Ever so patient, ever my favorite (along with my other 3 nieces), my niece, Jasmine, has been waiting for pictures that I took of her insanely cute family on one of my recent trips to Florida.

Along with the other million items that are on my ever expanding to-do list, I’ve taken time every night to work on her images….suuuushhhhh!! Don’t tell her — wink, wink!  I keep looking at this one…LOVE!

I want to see it ginormous on her wall, on a canvas.  So them, so Florida, so one of my favorites right now.

Linda, Eric & Baby Aryanna|Maternity|Palm Beach, Florida

A thousand sweet kisses…

Having a baby is just that…a thousand sweet kisses, a thousand hugs, a thousand million fabulous memories that last more than 525,600 minutes. Linda and Eric are having a baby in a few months and right now, they are basking in the glow of parenthood.

Going home to Florida is always awesome for me…great eats, time with my family and tons of opportunity to get spoiled by my big sister. I *heart* it.  This time around, my visit was even more special.  I got to spend time with Linda, Eric and their sweet bundle of joys’ fabulous aunts Christy and Tonia…who flew me down to capture the insanely AMAZING baby shower that they threw for the soon-to-be parents.

Before the festivties of today, though, I spent Saturday afternoon basking in the Florida warmth and the sea salt air with Linda and Eric.  Palm Beach in the spring is just gorgeous and shooting in the alcoves where I once used to be photographed as a kid was…well…fabulous!

Linda and Eric are going to be amazing parents…baby Aryanna is incredibly lucky to be a part of such an awesome family. I can’t wait to meet her!

At Linda’s favorite store… Tiffany’s…

Sharing some baby lovin’…

And finally…one of the beautiful momma…  Are you kidding me?! Just gorgeous!

I shot…alot…and aside from the fact that I’m beat from such an awesome, action-packed weekend, I just couldn’t pick favorites for this entry besides picking them all.  So…  a SLIDESHOW is definately in order.  Enjoy!

Linda, Eric, Tonia, Christy and the whole 954 crew…much love an appreciation for an amazing weekend!

A Sneaky Peaky for my Florida Peeps

So, there were several reasons for my whirlwind trip to Florida…

Here they are…some sneak peeks of what’s coming up on the blog…

The fantabulous Dominguez family

Finally being able to capture Jasmine (my niece) and her family…

Grabbing some insane cuteness from Cindy and Eddie and their daughters

Of course…these two.

And the main reason…to document the insane amounts of love that these two have for each other (my niece, Elizabeth and her uber-fabulous fiance, Jose).  And because I couldn’t pick just one favorite…they got two of my favorites.

Aida|Family Session|Doylestown

Meet Aida.

Seriously…is she not the cutest thing, ever?!

As a baby shower gift, Aida’s momma’s sister’s mother-in-law (say that 3 times fast!) gave her the gift of pictures.  Awesome, eh?!  I spent the afternoon with Aida and her family and had it not been for the flashbacks I was having of the chaos running around in my house, I swear I would have wanted to have another baby.  However, loving on Aida for an hour and a half was just what I needed to itch the baby fever scratch I got.  She’s so sweet and happy and incredibly loved.

These are Aida’s amazing parents.  I love first time parents…so cute!  Oh…and that’s Stella, Aida’s big sister, who wouldn’t leave her side for fear that this stranger with a camera would take her.

More than first time parents, though, I love bare baby bottoms…

…and sweet baby piggies!

And there’s nothing sweeter than a daddy lovin’ on his little girl…

…or a momma nuzzeling on her cutie patootie!

Lori and Matt…thank you sooo much for allowing me to capture an afternoon of Aida’s.  You guys are totally blessed with such a sweet piece of heaven on earth. Enjoy her to the fullest…they grow up way too fast.

TO SEE MORE OF MY AFTERNOON WITH AIDA…HERE’S HER SLIDESHOW.
